Jan 12, 2011 A 56-year-old man, an Indian citizen, has been attacked and gored in his face by an elephant early this morning. The incident took place at around 9 a.m. in Saralpara village along the Indo-Bhutan border. The area is about two and half kilometres from Sarpang town. [read more]
Thimphu hit by a dearth of drugs

Entrance examination for teachers
Jan 7, 2011 More than 420 graduate teachers are sitting for their entrance examination. They have all graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education from the Paro and Samtse Colleges of Education recently. They must pass the entrance examination to qualify as teachers. In the past, their jobs were guaranteed. They joined as teachers directly after they graduate. Not anymore. [read more]
